media creative & theologian
about
detailed, delicate work demands a discerning imagination
I am a media creative and a theologian (BTh) with experience in film, audio, and graphics design. My main focus is post-production (NLE editing and DAW). I started developing my creative skills at an early age (13 years experience). I have 5 years experience in film and video work.
I thrive on extremes - all or nothing. This is why I love Cape Town, my current home. The weather, nature, and experience encapsulates parts of me. This flows out into my faith, which drives my ethos.
I pursue the unpursuable - perfection. This means late nights, revision after revision, ever looking for inspiration. Fall short I will, I must. Yet, never without relentless aspiration. I dare to challenge my kaleidoscope of creativity continually.

who inspires me?
There are many sources that influences my creative output. In the film industry I appreciate the work of Matteo Bertoli, DSI Pictures Entertainment, and Media Division. These diverse creatives displays the power and possibilities of digital film. There is a certain feeling when one finds bright minds pushing towards perfection. Such individuals work stand out. It can be seen.
Coenie de Villiers' lyrical and melodical depth inspires me tremendously. He pushes the boundaries of a relatively small and young language (Afrikaans) and showcases that it stands the test as being worthy. He poetically captures within his lyrics the condition of humanity. From love to war, each theme is contemplated carefully in his writing.
Ellen G. White's prophetic conception of a raging cosmic controversy between God and Satan in her vivid writings forms part of the foundation of my faith and inspires me to be an active (rather than passive) participant in the battle against Good and evil.
Martin Luther's protest against intellectual oppression and his liberation of humanities knowledge inspires and feeds my hungry soul with Christ, the True Bread of Life.
